Oh my gosh people, be nice to your waiter/waitress, it’s not their fault that your food is cold or if it’s under cooked.  Be nice to the cashiers who are still training and can’t ring up your items as quickly as you want.  If a stranger smiles and says hello to you, smile and say hello back!  It’s just common courtesy, I don’t understand why people have to be so rude.

Then stop complaining about the news not spreading, and spread it yourself. Tell us what happened; you’re just as capable as anyone else.

I’m in America and I saw it on the news today. Some guy hacked up some other guy. But he waited for the police to arrive. He waited 20 minutes with bloody hands and his weapons. And didn’t hurt anyone else.

I’m not trying to be insensitive because what happened was truly, horribly and definitely unjust and horrific. However, this terrorist attack is not even close to the magnitude of what happened in the US at the Boston Marathon or 9/11 or what have you. Multiple lives were lost and injuries taken. Yes, this was an act of terrorism, but it was the murder of one person. As important as this one life is, it would be akin to the British hearing about a murder of a single person here for racial/religious reasons, which happens every day. 

So please, before you jump to America not caring, consider that. 

Regardless, thoughts go out to the witnesses and the poor victim.
